Greetings from Lower Saxony!

Heyho Guys,

 

here i am, the second member from Modding-Welt^^ 

 

My name is Gerrit, and as you can read in the title, i am from Lower Saxony, Germany. My village is directly at the border to  Northrhine-Westphalia, and about 200 kilometers east from the dutch border. Where i come from we speak the german dialect "Platt Deutsch", it's kind of a mix between german, english and dutch. More german and dutch than english to be honest^^ So i am able to understand 'a bit' of dutch. It takes a while of course, but often if i read a sentence twice oder listen to it again i am able to get the main message of it

 

I work as a (trainee)mechanic in workshop for agricultural machines (Fendt, Krone, Merlo, Horsch, Kubota, Kverneland...to name a few), and beside i work at a farm near where i life. My hobbys are, kind of obvious, working with and on tractors or gardening machines ( or chainsaws... whatever..), in generally working ( :D), doing everything i can do at our (2012 given up) farm, playing drums and in the end my computer ( playing games, modding..).

 

I came here because of my teammember Jaguar95, who made a nice advertising for your forum. And, more or less, i want to train my english a bit

 

It there are any questions feel free to ask, if you want to test me write it in dutch, but please add a english translation in a spoiler, otherwise i will not understand everything

I tried the dutch parts, and i actually did not fail at all In the end it was good that you added the english translation, but i wasnt as bad as i thought^^

 

Just to give it a try, i'll give you an example of our german "Platt". There is no actuall spelling or grammar, and every village has kind of its own platt, but you can give it a try^^

 

Wenn ick trügge denke an de tied in de wie usen groten trecker noh haan, watt mi gümme gant warm ümmet harte.

(If i think back to the time we had our big tractor, i feel warm around my heart)

A little info: We sold our 844 XL Plus in 2013 and i really miss it^^ And yes, it is not big, but we called it big tractor because it was our biggest^^ 

 

For me this litte "exchange" is pretty funny to admit, for the past 3 years our forum was the only one i vandalized, its nice to have another playground now
